I've seen people suggest that ASMR is for falling asleep. I can buy that shit with like, rain, or ocean sounds, or other white noise. Probably depends on the content, no? There are a bunch of creators who very consciously steer away from any kind of horny content and who aren't doing the whole e-girl (or e-boy) aesthetic. Then you have "unintentional ASMR" videos featuring like old Japanese carpenters doing their thing which I doubt people are watching because they're getting hot under the collar. Also, have you never just scratched or rubbed some material because you liked the sound and tactile sensation it made?
