Take a look at this post, seems likely that you're seeing the same issue https://lemmy.world/post/1364490
Yep, I realized what was happening shortly after I made the post, but I couldn't login to respond lol
Can an admin help me with this?
I am having the same issue with my lemmy.world account. I cannot stay logged in on any app or on the website itself. Clearing cache and data does nothing.
Same thing is happening to me I can’t do anything with third party apps with my lemmy.world account I’ve deleted accounts re-added everything. Last resort is I created an account on another instance and here I am posting
e: I’ve also cleared cache from the app. I’m on iOS
Same problem here.
Because they rotated the security keys, users have to log out and back in again. This includes accounts added in 3rd party apps
This is different. I was initially booted out when they did this and was able to re log in and comment just fine. Now, I am no longer able to stay logged in on the website itself or on any app despite clearing associated cache and data.
Make sure you clear cookies / cache /data before logging in again.
That won't fix it, it's server side on .world.
Confirmed and yes I cleared everything. Up or down cutting works only about half the time.
Clear all your app caches.
I have. It doesn't work. I've deleted all app data, then uninstalled and reinstalled my apps. They will not stay logged in.
I also cannot stay logged in on a web browser.
My account is effectively locked out and unusable despite being technically able to authenticate a login.
In my case spamming actions eventually works. It's a problem with api requests or something along those lines. I have to keep trying until a request succeeds and goes through.
The problem is that I cannot stay logged in so it doesn't matter what I spam. I'm immediately logged out by force almost instantaneously after logging in.
It tells me I'm logged out but if I keep trying it acts as if I'm logged back in again. I originally thought it was logging me out every time I tried logging in, but I found that if I just kept trying it would eventually register me as logged in. Like right now I'm having to attempt to post this reply multiple times because it fails several times before succeeding eventually. It's possible that we're having slightly different issues, I'm just saying what worked for me 🤷
I don't know if I have the patience for that lol! Also I generally prefer to browse on mobile apps anyway, and I don't think your method would work with them.
I've been using liftoff the whole time, it usually only takes a handful of tries for the things that need multiple api requests, and often works after 2 or 3 tries for everything else. I'm just too lazy to resubscribe to all the communitoes I've managed to gather on my lemmy.world account lol.
