Adblocks for TTV?

Seconding these choices. Of note in the second link, TTV LOL PRO is pretty great. It has worked when every other ad-blocking attempt is (temporarily) quashed. It requires manual updating, but considering you'll know when to update because ads are getting through, it's not a hassle.

Edit: Nevermind, there's an extension hosted through mozilla now, so it auto-updates. Get that instead.

The twitch 5 player hides ads and mutes the stream while they're playing. Pretty sure it won't be affected by other adblocks because it's its own local webpage thing but I've always heard only run one adblock at once or things can break. I don't believe twitch5 gets the low-latency mode so your stream delay will be like 5-8 seconds behind live versus 1-3 seconds on the normal player. I've gotten the delay better by messing with the addon buffer settings in the past.
The github link has a couple methods inside of it. As far as I know, there are two methods to block ads while being able to watch the stream while they play: proxy and video swap.
Proxy connects you through a country that isn't served twitch ads, the "TTV LOL Pro" browser addon is maybe the easiest way to do it. However their default proxy doesn't work for me so I had to go to the add-on's github page to find a working proxy url and paste it in the addon settings. I can look for the link later if you need it. I use this method and it works great for now, twitch is constantly trying to break this stuff.
Video swap takes the 360p preview of a stream that plays while an ad is up and swaps the ad with the preview. Once the ad is over the stream goes back to your selected resolution. You'll have to set this up inside ublock origin but the ad solutions github has instructions. I've used this in the past when my proxy solution was broken from either my own incompetence or something twitch is doing.
edit in case anyone from the future reads this: Twitch has supposedly started cracking down on VPNs and banning some accounts that use one. I'm not an expert and, in fact, barely understand all this shit but I would say that the proxy method is no longer safe to use. Also sorry for this long, poorly-researched post but all this stuff is what I wish someone had told me when I first got into twitch adblocking and I could never find much info outside of the twitchadsolutions github.
I’ve only used the first link ending with 5 and it works perfectly, just shows a checkered flag for a few seconds while it skips the ads and catches up (if it’s a livestream). The GitHub link may simply be for browsers other than Firefox

So, the solution i use is relativly simple. I mainly use the Adguard Adblocker, as i see that as one of the best adblockers you can get. Since Twitch uses some weird methods to load ads, you normally see them on every Adblocker. Now, the Adguard Team came up with some additional addon called Adguard Extra. Dont really know what it does, but seems like it detects ads on another way. Both installed, you dont get any ads anymore on Twitch.

And this is a Chrome extension that is an alternate client with ad blocking. It's pretty good though unfortunately it does not seem to support raids, your video will just end instead of switching to the new channel.
This will only apply to some cases, but if everything else fails, a lot of Twitch streamers also upload VODs on youtube. These are mostly unedited streams, but obviously not in real time.
Have you tried changing either your wifi router or computer/devices to use Ad blocking DNS? The two most popular ones are AdGuard DNS and NextDNS.
With that said, it is typically recommended to use add blocking add-ons in the browsers, etc, because the above DNS blocking options can break websites, etc.
Twitch slipstreams ads into the live feed, dns blocking won’t work. noodlejetski has links below to working twitch adblock. it’s similar to the way YT does it, and the workarounds are playing whack-a-mole
Pretty sure revanced supports twitch if you have an android phone it's a bit of a learning curve though took me quite a while to patch tiktok and involved command line on my laptop to make the right apk.
That said you might be lucky and have the revanced manager do it on your phone.

I don't think it would do something in this case, probably those ads are served by the same domains mixed with the real video
Pihole won't block twitch ads.
