arresting people have valid warrants. Netanyahu is presumed to have diplomatic immunity, so his arrest warrant isn't valid in at least 193 countries. Any country he travels to is implied to be offering him safe conduct by their ratifying the VCDR, unless the explicitly say he's not welcome.

Realistically, Canada will tell Netanyahu he's not welcome. the Vienna convention allows you to declare specific diplomats as personas non-grata, including before their arrival, and then they must leave in a reasonable amount of time or loose their immunity. I still think at that point, they would only be allowed to hold Netanyahu for deportation, they couldn't arrest him for genocide.

Diplomatic immunity is a good precedent. no matter how bad genocide is, kidnapping a foreign head of state will always be an act of war.

even with no precedent, it's clear the Vienna convention entitles heads of state to diplomatic immunity when they travel abroad. there is no legal mechanism that resolves the contradiction between the Vienna convention and the ICC.

Ukraine legally recognized the ICC only in it's capacity to prosecute russians. their law literally says they wont recognize it on ukrainians, which the ICC protested, and probably Israelis too.

ITYSL the guy was trying to deflect suspicion. Biden actually can't remember he did it.

ummmm, he's literally the protagonist of the film which means he's the good guy. Like, hol'up isn't the point of every movie that the protagonist is a cool person, and the audience should act exactly like them to be cool too?

I didn't realize how beautiful the Azores were, I kind of thought all the islands in the middle of the atlantic would be desolate and windswept, but it has stunning tropical mountains, and the rats on the island were introduced by vikings, though there is no written or material record of when the Vikings discovered the azores, or how many visited for how long.

Why are gasmasks a submissive kink? I would think not dying in a chlorine attack is a pretty dominant move.

He should say "I've instructed my departments to compile a list of every communist, trans person, Palestinian, BLM activist, and I'm going to leave that list on my desk January 19th regardless of who's term starts the following day. Which president do you prefer has that list?" you know Blue MAGA would be ecstatic if he did that.

Drink a cup of filter coffee while eating a spoonful of dirt if you want to maintain the Ankara experience, but it is just a dumb guys failure at using an ingredient imported from Ethiopia than it is a style of coffee

This shit really shatters my fantasy of post gen x people fostering a genuinely more empathetic and moral culture. sicko-wistful

I want to volunteer and stuff, but that would also make them say "this guy is trying too hard, definitely a spy."
