Such a great line! Right up there with "Zaphod's just this guy, you know?" And the bit about the marketing division of the sirius cybernetics corp being the first against the wall when the revolution comes.

Revelations is not a prophecy about today and cannot describe anything contemporary to us. It was a political allegory about what was going on at the time of it's writing.

March/April, looks-like when the Middle-East goes kablooey ... 2 mutually-exclusive "humankind"s occupying the same planet, & the global-deathmatch begins

When none of this happens i hope you will abandon these ideas and not trying to modify them.

I'm pretty sure that's Eccentrica Gallumbits, the triple breasted whore of eroticon 6.

Personally i'm hoping for good news from the hungarian election and the end of orban.

And of course like every being capable of moral reasoning, i can't wait to see steven miller in a prison he built, locked in a 10 person cell with 1 toilet and 100 other nazis. Happy days! 😊

While aristocratic oligarchs taking down a populist tyrant isn't the unambiguous step towards freedom it's sometimes portrayed as, it's important to have a day to celebrate the end of tyrants.

Who will you be toasting the demise of today?

The rise of the far right is a complex global phenomenon with multiple contributing factors.

The commitment of all political elites in the US to relentlessly attack leftists leaves a smoother path for fascists, and i definitely think it's right to call out dems for this.

But the problem is much more than just a right to center-right party like the dems stifling leftists.

The decision follows weeks of speculation about the fate of the pilot. Sources described it as “not perfect,” noting the Zhao’s sensibility may not have been the perfect match for the reboot. ...

There had been talk about reworking the pilot as recently as earlier this week. In the end, Hulu opted not to proceed with it but remains high on the Buffy IP and plans to regroup and mull a possible new incarnation of the beloved franchise.

So either it was bad or it was taking it in a direction they weren't confident fans would appreciate? I'd be curious for more details but i dunno if we'll get them.

Whoever thought of this one must have been so proud of themselves. It's impossible not to read it in his voice. That line is very rodney dangerfield.

The Justice Department called the violence an attack plotted by antifa operatives but attorneys for the accused denied that characterization, saying there were no antifa associations and that it was merely a demonstration with fireworks before gunshots broke out.

The regime lied about what happened, lied about the protesters having any links to antifa groups and grossly misapplied terrorism charges.

But even if it had been exactly what the regime falsely claims it was, it's undeniable that attacking the guards at a concentration camp deserves a medal of valor.

I personally find marvel movies boring, and a misuse of wealth, but marvel films aren't boring in the same way that cars going around in a circle is boring, and they're not gruesome in the way that eagerly waiting to see real people injured is gruesome.

Some people won't eat tongue because their culture doesn't eat tongue and when asked they come up with reasons.

"We just don't, it's a cultural thing" is so often the correct explanation, but our brains usually spin up reasons that are tidy, "just so" or satisfying even if completely off base.

From Merriam Webster

Chinuk Wawa, also called Chinook Trade Jargon, is an incredibly simple language with like ~1000 words and basically no grammar. It's a pidgin of several native languages with some english and french influence.

The language was spoken by settler and native alike, until the railroad arrived and English overwhelmed it.

The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde built a very nice app to help learn this very important part of our region's heritage.

A survey of 600 likely general election voters in Michigan, released late Thursday by WDIV Local 4/Detroit News, found that zero African American respondents said that they supported Trump, while 82.1 percent said they supported Vice President Kamala Harris.
