As long as you're following the 3-2-1 rule, I see no problem with storing your genders locally.

To be fair, nerds will tell their tech-illiterate friends about this change and probably influence them enough to consider it. Especially when it's something as easy as downloading an application.

It's much easier to switch a browser then it is to stop using Google, Facebook, etc.

This hits hard. I still remember joining the same 3 cs servers and befriending the people there. Good times.

This is why you have a server running jellyfin qbittorent, Jackett, sonarr, radarr, all behind a good VPN.

So what you're saying is that we should glorify Gabe? Understood!

Damn, this reminds me of what happened to me. A girl I had the biggest crush on was lying in bed and saying take your shirt off and come over here. Back then I was super self-conscious about my body so I said: "Haha, why? No, I don't want to".

Years later I realized what she meant.

Sync was Reddit for me. So when Reddit decided to end all 3rd party apps, it was also the end of Reddit for me. Now with Sync for Lemmy it feels like I can pick off exactly where I left off and it feels great. Maybe even slightly better, because it feels like more people are interested in the comments you write and more of them interact with you.

It looks like Lemmy is also attracting developers on GitHub.
