Cross branding is out of control. I saw Dunkin donuts branded body wash:

There was a guy who got 217 doses of the vaccine:
IIRC he was getting a new dose every 3 days for some period of time.
Let me introduce you to my partner, Gabagool Pizzarino.
Yes, he is Italian. How'd you guess?
I'm reading "No More Tears", a book about the Johnson & Johnson company. It's kind of unreal how evil that company is, yet we don't hear much about it.
They were more responsible for the opioid epidemic than the Purdue Pharma. Not only did they fund more of the research that led doctors to over prescribe, they also grew the majority of the poppies used to make them. Far more people overdosed on their fentanyl patches than oxycontin. They also continued creating and selling new opiates as non-addictive, like tramadol and tapentadol, despite knowing this was not true.
They also sold talcum powder 30 years after they knew it was contaminated with asbestos, and at least 15 years after they had evidence that talc itself was causing cancers.
They sold Risperdal despite knowing it was worse than the Haldol it replaced. They created 2 new markets for the antipsychotic, children and the elderly, despite the fact it was never approved for anyone other than those with schizophrenia. More than 1.3 million elderly people died as a result of Risperdal, the vast majority of whom were being drugged by their nursing homes. J&J knew that nursing homes were using the drug to sedate difficult dementia patients, allowing them to get by with less employees.
I got an estimate to fix my car and the guy doing it kept talking and talking. He was mostly pleasant, but I have a hard time with long interactions with people who don't know me.
I'm fairly certain I'm neurodivergent because "being normal" is exhausting for me. When I'm with people who know me, I'm fine, I could conversate for hours. But with strangers I feel like I'm an actor in a play I really don't want to be in.
The estimate was $3600 with a used backup light saving me $400. Otherwise brand new parts getting it back to 100%.
Sucks, but I'm glad I know it'll be fixed right.
Backed my car into a power pole. So mad at myself. I was hurrying because I wanted to to get home, backed in to do a delivery. The pole had an electrical box on it and it creased a corner on my trunk and broke the backup light lens. Messed up the paint on the bumper when it bent, too.
Car insurance is such a scam. I've given them at least 20k over the years with only one $1400 claim, but if I have to use the insurance, I'm going to end up paying more in increased premiums.
Hopefully I can get it fixed with only a new trunk lid. I'm going to try to see if a shop can get me a junkyard part and blend the paint. Probably be minimum 3000, I bet more like 5000 if I elect to replace the bumper.
At least I can still use it while I wait
I have no idea who (insert famous person) is. I am very cool
A lot of fast food companies have branded products in the grocery stores, now too
It's only grand juries that are secret.
Trial jurors are told they don't have to talk, but they are allowed to talk to whoever they want to.
They did the same thing with trucking. Told everyone it was a solid middle class career in dire need of workers. Convinced a bunch of states and the feds to foot the bill for truck driving schools.
They never needed more drivers, what they needed was more people to sucker in to predatory truck leases. They get new graduates to sign a lease for a truck. The lease forces them to only work for the company that leases them the truck, forcing them to accept whatever mileage rate the company decides to give them. Once the driver gets sick of that, the company takes the truck and leases it to the next person they recruit directly from trucking school(paid for by the government).
