Yes! I'm so happy with her. Can't wait to see how good she'll look with some topline and back end muscle.

She has so much energy. Today she initiated play with me when I took her outside. She wouldn't let me take her lead rope off and I (happily) chased her around for 20 mins before she finally stopped prancing circles around me and let me take the lead off.

She also did amazing with her actual exercises, which was just some light groundpole work.

The backlog of video games and books would literally never end.

I like tilapia fried in garlic olive oil, roasted asparagus, and cous cous. I eat it at least 3x a week for lunch. It's easy and cheap and freezes well.

I do meal prep once a week with my mom. We just get together at her place and cook like 10 or 12 meals and put them in containers and I freeze them. Cheaper than TV dinners and it's easy lunch and dinner for the week.

I absolutely despise cooking, so taking the ingredients to my parents' place forces me to cook. At my house, I can just procrastinate.

I noticed a bit of fat gain on her chest and neck and her face is filling out. :D

I'm one of the "fuck it lmao" types and I wouldn't change it for anything. Life is suffering, but I'm also very easily amused and thrive in chaos.

If Reba has had work done, her surgeon is incredibly good. I can't even tell and I'm really good at seeing that kinda thing

My mom had "Parenting the Strong-Willed Child"

It did not help her at all. Only thing that actually helped was the right depression meds after trying so many for like 12 years.

100% I'm hoping to go out in a couple of days. It's been too long since I was there

She's recovering from literally starving, so she's always looking for something to munch on. Gotta get those calories

Thank you! I'm hoping to be better by Wednesday so I can go see Sandy.

Sandy giving her best "I deserve a cookie" look.

I remembered the time I asked my middle school English teacher what the word "igneous" means and she didn't know. Instead of telling me to look in the dictionary, she said, "Let's learn the word together." And got her personal dictionary from her desk and we looked up the word together. She even highlighted it in her dictionary "so she'd remember it". This was during a study hall, so she had things of her own to be working on, but she took a few minutes to indulge my question. It was a really nice moment of actual teaching in a school district that was awful in regards to educating students.

I feel like sharing little moments like that with other people is important. Idk why. Maybe it's to spread a little happiness or something, but I love sharing little tidbits I remember with people.

She's my little goblin

She was (im)patiently waiting for her dinner.

The bars on her stall are to keep her and other horses from getting at each other if one gets close enough. All the horses have them on their stalls and it's a standard design where I'm from. The horses aren't bothered by it, even though it may look a bit grim to us humans. A lot of people hang toys and salt licks from the bars as well, so they're useful on top of being precautionary. I don't put toys on Sandy's stall because she can get anxious around new things and I don't want her to be afraid of her own stall.

Sandy is also enjoying it more, it seems lol

The other horses were being ridden in lessons and Sandy was following the verbal cues the students were giving the other horses.

She isn't gaining weight as fast as I'd like, but her mane is getting so thick and soft, so her supplements are doing something. If she doesn't start gaining weight soon, I will probably put her on an additional senior supplement.

I am in contact with her owner without anyone playing messenge for us now, so care and stuff will be much easier to coordinate. I found out Sandy is 26, not 30. I was also told that I can ride her any time as long as she's in the condition for it. She's not close to being in riding shape and never may be in riding shape, but that doesn't matter to me. I don't need to ride her. I just want her to be happy and healthy and have the best old age she can.

I got him a peanut butter bone as a gift. My goldendoodle turns 2 next Friday, so I'm throwing both dogs a bday party at my parents' house this Saturday. I ordered a fancy dog cake from a dog bakery for the occasion lol.

She got to hang out in a pen beside other horses outside yesterday and it made me so happy.

She did get very upset with me for letting my friend's horses out before her. My friend is out of town and I offered to let his horses out for him so they could enjoy the nice weather. Sandy took offense to that.

She let me do all kinds of stuff with her mane for over an hour before she wanted to graze. She was content with me making her look fabulous while she watched the lesson horses get ridden.

She seems to really want to meet other horses, but people think she's unpredictable and crazy. That's far from the truth. She's just spunky, which is normal for her breed. Her socialization skills with people has improved tremendously since I started working with her. She'll let strangers pet her while she's in her stall and doesn't get scared of children.

Her actual owner paid her a visit yesterday and was absolutely beside herself over the state she is in. She said she's worried she won't be able to afford everything Sandy needs. I'm having someone give her my number so we can coordinate care costs. I can help out with everything aside from boarding fees, so I'm willing to take on vet bills and supplements and the farrier and stuff if her owner can do board.

I want Ms. Sandy Lou to have the best old age and I'm willing to spend my hard-earned money to give her that.
