Grok, Elon's already comically biased AI tool, has been tweaked recently to very inorganically start spouting off white genocide rhetoric at random. This is to support the narrative that white afrikaners are being mass murdered in South Africa, when there really isn't any evidence of that.

This is another one of those "Invent an atrocity and then call everyone saying it's not what's happening a genocide denier" type deals. Shit's fucked.

I say "FIloniverse" because TCW and it's spinoffs have kind of just become their independent thing. Honestly I wish they would go all the way and start contradicting the movies outright instead of trying to make everything fit together. That was never going to happen.

It's not really a shock that this was the plan. When people started masking up at protests in 2020, it sent the establishment into a frenzy trying to find a way to counter it. Now they have it, and they're going to use that tech to punish anyone who so much as posts an opinion they don't like online. It'll start here, with anyone even remotely critical of Is*el getting the dogs sent after them.

What's wrong with opposing cartels?

For a long time, I was trying to be ambivalent. I thought "AI is a fad, it'll blow over" and I bore through all the pictures clogging up my favorite art websites but the recent explosion in popularity of AI videos as "memes" on Twitter and YouTube has finally flipped me. This shit sucks.

I don't even know what kind of people are into these things. Have you tried watching an AI video? They're very creepy. The characters within look and move very unnaturally. I can't watch them because I keep thinking it's going to explode into gore and viscera like The Thing. This is an asshole thing to say but people who produce those things have earned my harshest judgement.

And the worst part is that one day very soon, this technology is going to used to start making videos of people commiting crimes. Sickos have already used it to homemake CP, it's not going to stop there. I wonder if this is what it was like to live in the Terminator universe when Skynet was starting to be developed. It's very obvious that this problem is only going to escalate, millions of people are calling for regulation or rules, but the scumbags engineering the tech remain anonymous and completely unhindered in their efforts.

I've been in Uni for a few years now and I have to say the "weird kids" to me aren't the ones with dyed hair, the ones that play their Switch on campus, or even the guys who don't shower.

No, the weirdest kids are the ones who show up to class everyday just to talk their heads off in the back of the room. Can you imagine that? Imagine spending 10K to dick around instead of actually pay attention.

Just when you thought you couldn't take things less seriously.

Very strange things are going on in Japan, worth keeping an eye on.

I was watching Jurassic Park 3 today and I was reminded that all 3 of those movies had the black guy die. Horribly. It can only happen so many times before you start to think something's up. It happened all over, action films, horror, thrillers. The worst is when the black guy goes to get himself killed and then none of the other characters even comments on it after he disappears.

The word "representation" gets a lot of flack, but when I was growing up it was really demoralizing to watch film after film where the black dude was either a clown or was horribly killed a few minutes into the movie. Unless it was a hood movie anyway, but there's an obvious problem there.

Anyway, this isn't one of my more thoughtful rants, but just something I actually do like about modern film.
