I prefer "settler" for Americans at least cause it really hits those "leftists"/"anarchists"/"communists" that refuse to admit we're still in settler colonialism

The nazi analogy makes a lot more sense when you think of it in terms of "country funded by colonizing powers to produce regime change in russia and extend western imperialism" rather than swastikas/anti-semitism, they even do that too though so lmao what is he even on about. Dialectical materialism? Imperialism? Nah we do a count of Hitler particles and the country with more deserves to die

I feel like this was the end goal of the liberal conception of "sex work". Through the guise of humanizing sex workers they give legal recognition of rape as a "job" for the victim, legitimizing the industry and pimps (more akin to slave owners than your usual industrialist due to their relation to their victims based in direct violence) and allowing it to become a newly opened market for capitalism leading to increased human trafficking rates and sharpened patriarchal contradictions etc.

Good thread on it by the Vice Chair of the Communist Party of Kenya (sorry for twitter link praying for a new twitter frontend)

The only thing I've seen out of this protest has been a deeply unserious person flying an anarcho-brat flag and organizers/members of related orgs (PSL, FRSO) celebrating their wide turnout despite little to none material gains. It really feels like protests are the husk of what was once popular mobilization that represented a genuine threat to the ruling classes ability to ignore the popular masses. It's not nothing, but this is barely the baby steps of a real movement and we should all be deeply ashamed we aren't doing more 11 months into a genocide, not actively helping police ID those wanting to escalate!

I've met wreckers that look to escalate in inappropriate scenarios, it's never good to get arrested but I've been following this whole discourse on twitter and this line of "wreckers looking to get symbolically arrested" is completely detached from what actually happened and what people are actually advocating for (ANY kind of genuine disruptment or even threat of disruptment) and feels, ironically, more wrecker than what's being accused

It's insanity, like men who can't make cereal think they're shepards leading sheep because they're so daring as to believe american propaganda and there's literally millions of people to tell them they're correct

Just need to vent, I swear to god the revolutionary potential in America is just not there. So many people just have zero ideological conviction and because we're not subject to the worst of the empire's violence many feel no constant need to fight it, an encampment can end and so many people just go to brunch. The constant need to fight against the empire's propaganda, infiltrated orgs, and most of all the powerful combination of privilege and individualism is so incredibly exhausting. All that feels good to do is sit home, read theory and talk with my closest comrades, I can't be led into another unprepared police raid by people who had just collaborated with the kops, or in an org led ultimately by some undemocratically elected leader, or talk to another "ML" or anarchist white boy that can't even admit racism and imperialism still fuckin exists.

I feel like this speaks to China's policy of complicity with the capitalist system in ways that allows China to thrive and eventually lead the world into communism - if they just sent the people's liberation army to help out Hamas the west would probably start WW3 right then and there. That said, it can be genuinely disturbing and worthy of criticism when we say the ends justify the means in any case, especially when we have inspiring quotes from Mao like this:

"The People's Liberation Army is always a fighting force. Even after countrywide victory, our army will remain a fighting force during the historical period in which classes have not been abolished in our country and the imperialist system still exists in the world. On this point, there should be no misunderstanding or wavering. "

The Zionist entity cannot continue to exist if Palestine is to prosper or even survive, the two-state solution is untenable at this point to many marxist Palestinians and marks an error in China's stated foreign policy in so far in that it allows the settler colonial state to continue existing. Legit the population needs a military defeat and reeducation, a two state solution would only continue the oppression unless it also took the form of a massive reducation campaign of "israelis" but even then you have an apartheid ethnostate that would require such major reconstruction I don't see any good reason to not expect the just and true end of this conflict as a liberated palestine and the fascist force of zionism defeated.

Just want to make sure we aren't considering Rashida Tlaib ultra-left for recognizing as many Palestinians do the two state solution as a normalization tactic and not a material end of the conflict in anyway.

Good post, as a queer person this is an interesting thing to talk about with other queer leftist/commie-curious people though. Rare Stalin L that we'll learn and be better from.

It drives a wedge between the working class and allows Mexicans to be exploited for slave labor in agricultural work under the threat of deportation of them and their families. It also gives a ton of false excuses for the failures of capitalism, I remember recently Musk has been pushing the whole "Illegals are taking all the affordable housing" thing.
