I very much hate the word app. That's probably my biggest boomer trait.

What it really highlights: your game is starved for player expression

Does anyone have this issue where the steam login toast just nukes the fps of whatever you're playing ? I completely have disabled the overlay because of that.

It's the same thing when they find phallic objects and call them "ritual objects" or "for sexual rituals". Is it that difficult to perhaps assume they were likely used to get off ?

Purolator is a bastard company I always freak out when I realize my online order defaulted to Purolator from the shipper's end. I'd literally send more money so it can be anything else.

Not shilling for FedEx but FedEx has come to my house rang my doorbell and stood there for 1 min and I've never seen any other company do this.

I liked the look of KDE plasma and used it when I first started with Linux but it is a buggy mess and extremely bloated. It feels like it's stuck trying to be Windows 7 aero.

As for NV I use Nvidia as well and I haven't had any issues on CachyOS with Nvidia's actual "open" drivers (not neuveau)

I like music players with an interface and I hate using my phone. I've had a fiio Ive used since 2015 or something. Love everything about it.

I hate that apps like Spotify show album art. I don't care for album art or little animations. The fact that this is not customizable at all reeks of incompetence.

Don't get me started on playlists or how "liking" stuff works. I'm shocked there really isn't anything else out there that's toppling Spotify over like the garbage can of a service it is.

I say use a live USB and boot into it and see how it goes. Note that it will be slower than if you were to use a drive BUT you can sort out your worries about wine performance and such right away.

Mount windows drive, use steam to locate your games. Run them to test.

Note that this is not a long term strategy, you do not want to use NTFS (windows) drive to play games. But it shouldn't cause any issues in short term testing.

If you think you are techy or you think you're as smart as the average person (or smarter) just use cachyOS.

You will probably run into some issues but as long as you follow these rules you could be doing very well:

  1. OS drive has OS stuff and packages
  2. Media drive has games and stuff you care about

The two shall never meet.

Have an issue ? Wipe OS drive, in 2 minutes you'll be back in.

Worried about configurations? Linux is all about using files for config, this pattern allows you to save files and reconfigure systems fast on the fly.

Worried about something else? Ask me.

There's nothing wrong with using another distro.

Left hand arpeggio fingerings that I've found lean towards 542. For the most part this works for me, but on a wbw pattern like D,E or A the 4 feels off and tense.

Is using a 532 fingering for these arpeggios "bad"?

Just wondering about why this arpeggio feels bad for me on 542 and if changing fingering is appropriate or incorrect. Thoughts ?
