I never saw the movie, but I can accept mediocre for the book. I thought it was a fun take aliens and alternative history. The writing style is a bit like a morally superior american, but I can read past that (...I guess, because I completely forgot that part).

What happens if you put it back into the drawer and forget about it? Asking for a friend

We'll remember this once the tribunals begin

Your example doesn't relate to my comment at all. You're comparing apples and oranges

You're saying there is no unifying, collective sentiment on this community against anything to do with Trump or MAGA people? You're saying that people who favor Trump are welcome here? That there is even room for discussion?

I'm saying there's a definite hivemind on this community. It's objectively better than the MAGA hivemind, of course, it's barely comparable. But it's funny to see it unfold in a thread like this. In a sad kind of way though, a way where it shows that the country is entirely black and white and polarized to the brink of civil war.

Obviously. I know I'm bad with words, but what part of my comment makes you think I'm denying the stupidity?

TIL Trumps father wore a Hitler mustache until 1950.

After World War II, toothbrush variants were worn by a small number of notable individuals, e.g. American real-estate developer Fred Trump (who wore a split variant), and former president of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe (covering only the philtrum).

Trump wore a toothbrush mustache from c. 1935 to 1950, about when it fell out if fashion due yo associations with Adolf Hitler

The source is in Dutch, but it's a short form video. Nothing special. Any other sources I could find are in Croatian (which I can't read), like:

The Trump administration is slapping sanctions on four judges at the International Criminal Court over the tribunal's investigation into alleged war crimes by Israel in its war against Hamas in Gaza and in the West Bank.

When I open the comments of a post, I can still "back" to the frontpage. But when I visit Settings or Inbox via the menu, I can't "back" out of it anymore. I have to navigate back to the frontage via the menu.

The book is about the mathematical concept of dimensions, but in a fun way with over 170 illustrations.

I'm not affiliated with the author. I just think her message and her enthusiasm is something admirable in these times. She's also completely self published and that's why I pre-ordered the book.

Excerpt from the website:

Hello friends, I wrote a book! I've spent the last 2 years thinking about dimensions and have collected all the most interesting ideas into this fun guide. I am so excited to finally share it with you!

This book is bound to make you think, teach you something new, and inspire you to continue playing with science and mathematics for many years to come.

Featuring color illustrations by Martina Pepiciello.

No prerequisite knowledge is required.

I have a 800+ streak, so my icon used to always be orange. It didn't even change when it "got sick" for everyone last year. Now they seem to have removed that feature and it "gets angry" if it's past 22.00 and I haven't done an exercise yet. Which is what I very often do.

This is a first line This is a second line This is the third line.

These all appear on the same line eventhough I wrote them on separate lines

If I add a "enter" after each line, they'll appear on separate lines, but have white spaces in between.

This is the first line

This is the second line

This is the third line.

Now I only add two spaces behind each line and they'll appear just as I wrote them

As far as I know, the purpose of yawning isn't really understood, but it's present in nearly all land vertebrae. Maybe it's a universal bug in the breathing animation code.

The New Jersey senator spent much of his speech, which ended after more than 25 hours, assailing the Trump administration. He eclipsed Strom Thurmond’s filibuster of a civil rights bill in 1957.
