This is close to mine (though I don't think it's particularly unpopular): if you are using icons, use only universal icons. Floppy disk for save, little kidergarten house drawing for home all legible and totally fine. If you have to make up your own icon for a button action, save yourself the hover/tooltip work and just put text on the button. I don't want to have guess what two boxes on top of each other with an arrow on the right curving between them is supposed to mean.

Since he's looking for an intern, the chances are very very high that they could also be in class. While my college (maybe just my degree program) was generally lax about things like attendance and going in and out of classes, I'm not loosing out on my education to answer a phone call that may only potentially be for a job.

A little before the me too movement, there was a yes all women, as a response to this sort of thing. No not all men act like this. But pretty much every woman has dealt with a few men acting like this. More if you move around in public a lot. Fewer if you drive everywhere and don't go out much. Very very few once you're visibly old.
