This only moves the question. What payment methods does the currency exchange accept? What are the transaction fees there? Also crypto is way to volatile for my liking. Crypto bros may claim that states can devalue currencies at any time, but ever since BTC was invented, the Euro has been orders of magnitude more stable than any cryptocurrency.

Wenn man fragt, was in einer Kultur normal oder akzeptiert ist, hilft es nicht, wenn einem ein anderer Ausländer seine Sicht darbietet.

Bei einer 8-, 12- oder 24-Stunden-Schicht gibt es auch mal Phasen, in denen nicht viel zu tun ist. In denen werden Verschnaufpausen toleriert. Es kommt ja niemand zu dir und quatscht dich voll, während gerade jemand auf dem Flur aktiv krepiert.

Obacht, manche haben eine andere Definition für Kollegen und Mitarbeiter. Die sagen, Kollegen seien dir gleich gestellt (ob du sie magst oder nicht), während Mitarbeiter dir immer unterstellt seien. Laut deren Auffassung hast du Mitarbeiter nur als leitender Chef oder leitender Angestellter.

No fees in Germany, neither for sending nor for receiving and the funds get transferred within seconds.

Another comment mentioned ACH, but that is not the same as a wire transfer.

Thanks for clarifying that. I just thought they used a technical term I was unaware of.

If you accidentally wire the funds to the wrong account, there is no recourse.

Well, duh. That’s not what I’d call insecure. If you only accept a system as “secure” if it is resistant to any user error, then I propose you keep away from knives, cars, electricity, staircases, and basically everything.

You also didn’t provide any rationale for the “costs money” part of your statement.

I volunteer at a food bank, and the company that sends us our food decides what we get. Last Tuesday they sent so much produce we could not fit it all into fridges. We were trying to give away cases of the food on Wednesday, but people were turning it down because they had no place to store a case of tomatoes, or cauliflower. This was what we had left after last Wednesday's morning give away. Not pictured the 5000lbs of watermelons, the 2500lbs of onions (those will last a lot longer).

The company that supplies us wants to move from sending shipments every other week, to once a month. This would cause even more no produce loss.

It is so frustrating to have all this food for it to go bad. Even if we got the same volume of produce, but there was variation in what it is we could give it away easier.

I wonder what causes people who once thought they’d spend their life together to not want to do that anymore.

Has your partner changed? Or did they not change when you expected them to? Have you changed?

Have you not noticed each others’ flaws when love was young and the pink glasses still worked and only discovered them later?

And what can your experience teach us about our own relationships?
