Lots of great comments here but one more awesome thing about wooden cutting boards - you can always sand off a very fine layer to expose new wood if the surface gets too gnarly. Then oil it and use it like usual again.

if no amount of self reflection and change can ever make us reconsider our condemnation, then there's no reason for anything to try and change, as it won't stop the hate

A very important point that we should all remember. It's critical to continue a no-tolerance policy of intolerance, but to accept those who want to change.

I'm not running to Chick-fil-A anytime soon but the point remains.

A person wants a rabbit sandwich, no one's gonna offer it. If people want rabbit sandwiches, they would be sold.

If, over the course of some time, people reduced their meat consumption by 25%, do you think meat companies would continue to raise and slaughter the same number of animals or would they reduce their stock to match what was being purchased?

You don't need to wait for trust busting or regulation to consume less meat. You can do it today, of your own will.

Yet the doomers will say that no one is stopping him.

There's poop germs on basically everything everywhere all the time. Life's dirty and you have an immune system, don't overthink it.

Corporations are only producing things that people want. I'm all for strict regulation, but "blame the corporations and not yourself" is a huge copout. Especially when reducing your meat consumption is one of the single most impactful things you can do to reduce your effect on the climate.

If I had to guess, it's because the back/top of the fridge is more prone to freezing.
