I was thinking this is actually thinner than sock yarn. Looks very similar to the lacy doilies that my grandmothers made of something more like 0 or 1. The connecting bits are actually braided or single crochet…so from a distance it looks like thicker yarn than it is. Either way…I love this and kinda want one now.

I appreciate the randomness and the fact that the polishing cloth is only backwards compatible to the iPhone 5 and iPad 4th gen. No mention of any other devices prior to like 2012 which is kinda funny honestly. It is a polishing cloth. I could use it to dust the display of my Philco Predicta and it would do just fine 😂 (not that I have one…just providing a ridiculous example).

I bought a Boox Palma. The screen cracked on the first day. I wholeheartedly do not recommend them as a company as their customer support response is always “not our fault.” A quick google will find others who had the same experience I did.

I am an IT professional. I have had Kindles and Kobos and have NEVER had a screen break on any device. This company needs to be called out and boycotted.

Per the post…Android itself is old, yes…but they never promised security updates…only updates to the firmware. I don’t have a problem with this. Retroid is similar in that their devices are not current android, though not nearly as bad as Boox. It all depends on how you use a device as to if this is really an issue or not.

My first experience with installing Linux on a hard drive involved wiping the wrong hard drive (my dad’s) and installing on it. Then panicking when Windows 95 didn’t boot up. Thank goodness my dad was understanding lol.

The arts has one of the highest unemployment rates of any degree…and the price you give per painting is actually less than I would expect a person making a living off of their art would charge. A love of artists I know…are in IT. So though I understand your rant and how you perceive things to be…the grass is not always greener on the other side. That said…what is stopping you from pursuing art? It does not require a degree to be successful if you have the skills.

Also…mid 20’s sucks. That was the worst time in my life so far. Stick it out and figure out what works for you.

While this is true…ADHD tends to override what logic deems true. The emotional regulation just isn’t there enough to be peachy and positive all the time especially when our society values productivity, reliability, timeliness, and organization…which are difficult for those with ADHD. The guilt is so strong that sometimes it is debilitating. While your intent may be to be kind and helpful…in this community it reads as a bit insensitive.

Why not dual boot? It is possible to have both. That is what I typically do and with Mac this can be helpful because sometimes you may need to access MacOS for drivers and such. This way you can cross-compare and have more opportunity to learn.

I miss small station wagons. Not SUVs posing as them either…ala Subaru Outback. All of the benefits of a car for efficiency (size, ride height, fuel efficiency) plus the added storage of the rear which generally is more than CUVs. My VW golf wagon has more storage than a CRV for instance. It will be a while before I part with that car!

Your response to this situation is perfectly normal. Things I would recommend:

Please at least mention it to your wife and mention that at minimum it is “affecting you emotionally.” It is not fair to her for you to return and be so worked up and not have an explanation.

Clients are understanding if they have an explanation. I would say something along the lines of “my coworker has a personal issue to attend to.” And a lot of times that is enough.

Though it is hard to deal with, remember that you are still here and made it past that time before. Though this sort of thought line is always a struggle, it is possible to push through no matter how difficult it may seem. What you said to your coworker is likely sufficient for now. Perhaps a reminder message saying something like “hope you are still doing ok” or “don’t push yourself to come back too hard, take time to work through things” would be appropriate on rare occasion until they return to the project.

These things are tough for everyone and nobody deals with it the same way. Since you don’t have access to your therapist, perhaps finding an outlet like journaling might help you work through your side of things even if you do so temporarily.

You will make it through despite it being harder than expected on your side of things. Always remember you can only control yourself and there is only so much you can do. Don’t stress yourself out too much when you have already taken steps to show that you care.

As someone that has eaten my lunch in my car at a park…it is way more enjoyable than Walmart. Sometimes just that little amount of respite is all people can afford or have time to enjoy.

Fascinating how this developed! I hadn't even thought about the history of it.

And...I just bought a mk1....

To me half of the piece just sounds like him advertising for Medium. That was a huge turn off.

Another Moog knock off! Behringer is bringing in the heat.

8

Now this is fascinating! Wonder who will use this one a hit album?

16

So much more floor space! Also thinking about a Jaspers stand…anyone have opinions on them?

4

This looks intriguing. Wonder what sort of graphics card will be needed to run this when it hits production?

3

More acquisitions. Curious if they will integrate the different systems.

12

Curious if this is good or bad. What do you think?

Trying to work towards my first album. I have two songs mostly completed and a few in various early phases. I am not much of a drummer so the DrumBrute Impact has been…instrumental in implementing some beats.

I am actually excited about this. MIDI has so much potential and I am curious to delve deeper into the specs to see new possibilities.
