I respect owning the funny typo.

Omg! You can stun them!?!?

I was so frustrated with them on a recent play through.

I just get incel vibes from him.

I think you misunderstood my comment.

I’m saying that Joe Rogan fell for the lies told while campaigning.

What a great game! That’s a fun temple too.

I have to admit, that my small business has benefitted from ai.

It’s a small 1.5 person business. So there is really no budget to hire artists or programmers.

I’ve been able to switch away from using generic stock photos, I’ve even had it help me selfhost some thing to get further away from Microsoft.

So now, my presentation to clients looks much more professional.

I’m not saying everyone can use it the same ways, I have a background in computer security, so I can secure my services reasonably well.

Seems like it could be fun. I’ll give it a try.

It’s great! But there are some frustrating parts in the game like escort missions. Or janky psychics where a wall don’t blow up because, well I don’t know. It just didn’t one time.

Yeah, weapons. Take a look at shadow complex. It’s a great Metroidvania. You do unlock a power suit at one point, but other than that, you just upgrade your weapons.

I’ve never heard of this. It sounds really interesting.

I’d love to see a new 2-D resident evil Metroidvania game. This game is basically already a metrovania in 3-D and I just think it could easily be adapted to the 2-D space.

I grew up watching Star Wars a few years before the prequels came out.

I loved it! I was a big Star Wars fan. I honestly almost completely lost interest in it after I became an even bigger Trek fan.

I’ve been playing Lego Star Wars and it’s been fun, but it made me realize that the stories all seem surface deep to me.

I get the movies from the 70s were not going to deep dive in Luke’s training, but in each film it’s just like, “And… you’re a Jedi master now.”

There are other races and we do not get to really learn much about them. I guess the Mandalorian filled that out some, but I couldn’t get into that show.

I guess this is more of a rant about how Star Wars feels like and empty shell of a series than something with more substance.

I really wish, that there was something that went deeper.

I have not watched all the Disney+ shows yet, but I might start Ahsoka or Andor tonight. I watched Obi Wan and liked it, I tried Mando 2 times and did not like it one bit.

I loved the Shadows of the Empire book.

I know this is going to be unpopular with some, but I am seriously considering a Mac and I am annoyed by the idea of it.

I NEED MacOS or Windows for my work. There is one application that does not work in Linux yet and there are no alternatives. It is a critical work application.

With that being said, you can probably guess that Linux is my preferred OS of choice.

I am currently using a Windows desktop for my work, but I do run into situations where I need a laptop. The laptop I am using now is a Thinkpad from 2021 with Fedora. I actually really love this computer. My only real complain is that the webcam is pretty garbage.

So, I think I need a new computer. My choices are Windows laptops which have decent pricing with good specs, or Apple which is extremely expensive for what you get.

I'm really annoyed with Windows' ads, bloat, and general lack of privacy; specifically Recall. On the other hand, it is hard to justify spending an extra $400 on a Macbook air just to get a 1tb hard drive. My work files alone take up a little more than 200gb.

I guess this is just a rant. I'm not looking for any solutions as what I am really looking is the ability to use Linux for my work which is not an option at the moment.

A Linus tech tips video on setting up Windows.

The first half of the video is not too bad, but the whole second half is terminal and registry work arounds.

At first, I expected the video to talk about even more complex things.

Anyway, just show this to a windows user who complain that Linux to too complex and uses the terminal.

My wife and I went on a short trip where I had to work. I normally use a windows desktop, but couldn’t bring that.

I used her base m1 air, and was blown away by how well it handled my work. Not just that, but it used significantly less ram and cpu power.

On windows my cpu usage is higher and my ram usage normally over 8gb. On here air, I was hitting around 6gb ram usage and the cpu was maybe around 15-20%

I am still in a little disbelieve that her laptop handed my work so much better than my desktop i7-8700 or laptop i5-11th gen intel handles it.

I’m totally picking up a MacBook this fall.

Now just need to decide between the air and pro, the air is probably fine, but I like the dedicated hdmi port as I will use it with a monitor a lot. Not sure if a usb-c hub will suffice.

My wife asked about the sims. She has an m1 MacBook Air and I see there are 98 dlc options.

Do I need certain one or can she do free to play. Or is an older version better?

What do I need to know?

I've been using Kopia to backup my Windows work machine, Linux personal computer, and my wife's Macbook.

Right now, It is just backing up to my NAS, but I would like to have it backup to a cloud solution.

I figured I would get some S3 storage somewhere and point Kopia at that to make the backup. I do not need a lot of space. I think 500gb would be enough. I do not want costs to be too high.

Do I have the right plan, or is there a better option?

Thanks in advance.

I’ve been replaying though the Pokémon games for the first time since they came out.

I just finished Gold and started Emerald last week. I was really looking forward to it as I always hear great things about emerald.

But I have not been enjoying it. I feel like I’m constantly under leveled and even when I have a higher level than other Pokémon, I feel weaker.

The map has been a bit annoying going in circles for the first half of the game. I am at the 5th gym now, and decided to drop it and move to gen 4.

I also have not been happy with the team I built. It seems that the move sets I have are not really that good. I’m at level 20-30 and I’m just getting my first good moves for some of my team.

I loved the first game and I’m so excited for the second one. I’ll pick this up on day one.

If you haven’t played the first one, please check it out, I’m sure it’s super cheap at this point.
