On food stamp applications, if you say that you live with other people but that you don't share resources, then they don't include the other people's income. I wouldn't be surprised if that has changed somehow though? Are you a minor?

I used to work as a cashier, and I would always guess the weight of the vegetables/fruits before putting them on the scale/scanner thing because i love estimating that stuff too. I did it out loud once and got it almost exact and a couple customers jeard and wete impressed. So I tried a few times and the customers in line and I made a game of it and cheered or "awww"ed when I got it wrong. So fun.

I also like trying to guess the amount of something i need for recipes. Like, a recipe calls for a cup of onions, I look at the whole onions in store and based on size I imagine what it would look like diced in a measuring cup, I usually get close and its so satisfying

I usually bring my own reusable bags and regardless if a bagger is there or not, I offer to bag my own groceries unless it's more efficient/faster for me to just ring up my card. I used to be a cashier and I absolutely hated when people would just stand there and watch me bag 3-5 bags of groceries while there's a line of 4 people behind them. I always appreciated customers who do it themselves. A lot if the time people who bag groceries that aren't cashiers also clean messes, gather shopping carts, face aisles etc, so if it's a huge supermarket they'll probably be happy to skip that job.

I only have base level knowledge around communism, and it's so hard to find both information that isn't absolute western imperialist propaganda against communism, or any nuanced critiques from communists on China/Russia/etc. I think learning about the criticisms from an ML perspective and having them readily available would be valuable, because so many people think that communists pledge absolute unwavering support to anything even somewhat perceived as communist in the media, which I know isn't true, y'all are capable of critical thinking.

I searched for "antifa origins" and it took 3 pages of the search for me to even start scraping past US propaganda about the movement. In order to even find this source, I had to search for "antifa origins it's going down" because "it's going down" is a very radical leftist publication that I figure would have a countering narrative...All that to find a Smithsonian article lol.
