"why are you so blessedly free of snot?"

We used to keep a quote book of these random acts of hilarity... Good times.

The ending of this game outright broke my brain... What a masterpiece of storytelling. I remember getting up and walking around my house just mindblown... 100% recommended, right up there with Bastion.

Or - hear me out here -

  • 60ml makers mark
  • 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • ~8ml 2:1 sugar syrup
  • and if you can get it, ~8ml of maraschino liquor

Stir over ice, strain into a rocks glass with a fresh ice chunk. If you're feeling fancy, rinse the glass with a splash of absinth beforehand. Garnish with an orange twist, a cherry, or hey why not: both.

Using sugar syrup means the sweetness is mixed into the drink... And you aren't chewing on bits of sugar when you finish. The larger pour of bourbon gives you a longer drink and the fancy pants additions really do add something special to it, but are totally optional. Sub makers for whatever you like... It's my favourite bourbon to mix for this one.

Yes I just shared a variation old fashioned recipe. Yes, I know in some circles this constitutes a declaration of war.

That's been on my wishlist for years and I finally pulled the trigger on it this steam sale.

The art looks gorgeous!

As always, the real issues are being discussed in the comments.

Really enjoyed the first book. Started questioning things in the second. By the third, I was hate reading it to get to the end.

Without spoiling it, the ending completely failed to land for me. Just a hodgepodge of incomplete ideas and loose ends... If it was just the first book they could've told other stories and built a Lovecraftian mythos around it, but instead they had to go for the 3 book deal and by the end it was just too much toast and not enough butter for me.

From an Australian perspective, I wanted an ev and I wanted to be able to take it on road trips. The supercharger network is the most comprehensively built out infrastructure here and frankly the only way to reliably make long road trips.

The minute they open it up to other manufacturers that advantage disappears; similarly if we had any genuine effort from any corner to build out competing infrastructure.

It's easy to shit on Tesla because, well, , but in some markets they still hold a distinct and compelling competitive advantage.

Meanwhile my anecdotal n=1 stranger on the internet story is that I've not had any issues with my model 3 so far: for me, it's been a great car. When I purchased it, the decision came down to the 3 or the polestar 2, and at the time polestar had zero service capability here: based on 12 months of driving I feel I made the right decision.

Mullvad has a browser now? Sweet! I've been a fan of their no nonsense approach to VPN for a while now.

Whenever I see one of these write-ups, no one mentions Microsoft To-Do in the comments.

Am I high? Is it just me? I freaking love this dumb little app…

I mean sure the only reason I use it is because my employer is a MS house so it goes out to everyone as standard, and if I didn’t get it effectively free I'd probably roll Obsidian… but it deserves a little love imo.

What I don't understand - especially in this crazy mixed up post-COVID world - is why new DM screens like this never have a built in tablet stand.

Also, why are they always portrait? Give me something lower-profile any day of the week.

I guess I'm just here to vent. I was a day 1 D1 guardian, and have put more hours into Destiny as a franchise than any other game in my library. I quit D2 after Curse of Osiris because PvP was the only thing going, and Bungie had just made Sniper/Sidearm the only viable loadout and it broke me. I came back just after Witch Queen, because the hype was inescapable. Caught up on the lore, got my Scallywag badge and then my Seraph badge... And then in season of Defiance I noticed a change.

A change I've seen get only worse in season of the deep: there is no way for me to complete the seasonal title solo.

"Just use LFG". Not the point. I have always been able to enjoy Destiny as a solo player. Always enjoyed the matchmade playlists. Loved the challenge of going after Brakion to get Vexcalibur. Hell, Bungie even seemed to be catering more to players like me by promising in game LFG with Lightfall... I shouldn't have to throw myself on the mercy of strangers on a 3rd party website just to find two people who want to do all the pressure trials.

I just feel disincented. I don't really expect anything to change, but I do kind of feel bummed out about how much Bungie seems to be moving away from players like me: that I'm no longer the target audience for a game I enjoy the spit out of.

/rant. Thanks for listening you guys. Maybe it's time to finish Returnal or something...

I'm really hoping that this doesn't become another /r/Sydney, where the bulk of the content is just links to articles in the Herald or the Guardian.

I periodically find myself opening Sync Pro out of habit... I should just bite the bullet and uninstall hey.
