Looks awesome! I love witnessing all the progress the System76 team is making. It really makes it seem like anything is possible.
It gets funnier when you realize Berd made a video about exactly how the Internet responds to typos in arguments:
I actually think this meme was one of the better ones: as you mentioned in another comment, it's the ones that depict the brief moments where the condition isn't totally debilitating as if we're suddenly superheroes that are concerning.
This one felt like it was merely an observation of a typical ADHD experience. And to be honest, it was well-executed because it didn't lean into an opinion, it left the reader to form one. Those memes are actually the "unsung heroes" of the ADHD community, because anyone who sees it and finds it relatable and then notices what sub it's in might do more research or go get evaluated.
I do, from time to time. But I need to pair it with exercise for it to be effective. Without exercise, my mind wanders too easily. Pairing it with exercise allows me to raise my dopamine enough to make the thoughts concrete and easier to be aware of.
Honestly I'd love to just use the website but they force you to use their client now. Unless there's a way to use the browser again!
Interesting, I didn't realize that. Thanks for clarifying!
See, this is why I was curious if they would just set their own release schedules and run based off of Debian-testing. But I guess that would be a lot more work, and they'd effectively be duplicating Canonical's effort, in a sense.
This is an interesting perspective! So then by that logic, is there a possibility that Canonical will try and pressure System76 to officially switch to snaps over flatpaks?
Same for me, I ripped all mine a while back and put them on a Jellyfin server in FLAC or WAV format. I actually found a good source for high quality files, which are at minimum 16-bit CD quality, and many are even higher quality at 24-bit depth sampling 41kHz rate.
This is exactly correct, and herein lies the problem: how do you monetize content creation from people you don't pay?
Louis Rossman said it best: when you look at a lot of content platforms, you realize their business models don't make sense. The people managing these companies are riding on VC money knowing full well there isn't any long-term return. They want to cash out and dip.
This is why I feel like a Federated, user-maintained system is probably best for the long term sustainability of a community. People want a place to enjoy something or someone? Let's make it happen, by our own means
To hell with "political violence is always bad", I want to use all these tar and feathers I've been hoarding!! /s
