Unfortunately I know what it’s like to be managed by the kid who asks the teacher for homework

But in corporate, this kid will try to use chatgpt to automate the tasks of people in other departments but when he realizes it’s not as easy as he thought, he assigns it to you to automate. Then he shows it off to his c suite boss and gets further praise

Corporate social climbers are an absolute plague.

It’s like you’re super engaged and feel like you could do x forever until you suddenly crash. Then you’re bored for either a second or like a month (no rhyme or reason but the chaos in front of you) until the next thing comes along. But Godamn that boredom is real and often leads to sadness. I need a why to the whole thing

Christ I don’t know if this is relatable, but it explains a lot of my problems be it people I’m obsessed with for a sec and genuinely think I love or a different type of work assignment or a hobby of some kind

58

It’s not that I don’t like them, it’s that I literally do not know what to do. Like why do some people get hugs without initiating and just assume I don’t like hugs

Is this relatable whatsoever

45

Why are people arguing sentience and not the fact that this is another attempt to completely remove a sector of the workforce the way Covid was the conduit to remove a complete sector of the outside world? This shit is valued at nearly 200 billion dollars

118

I a long-winded way of saying “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.”

This irks me chat. This is an elephant in the room that should be causing mass chaos

87

It’s just really really hard for me to accept I guess, but that quality is super important in climbing the fascist corporate ladder. Missed out a spot in the social hierarchy with my mega social awkwardness though

But yeah, preaching to the choir, but the higher you climb in corporate America, the less value you produce and the more you get paid.

Maybe we should skip unions and fast forward to finding like-minded people for well-regulated militias. Death to America

36

Like I genuinely feel if I’ve heard a song enough times, I can repeat it in my head and still get the same enjoyment as actually listening to it. Maybe everyone can do that idk

But I do know that the only thing I don’t have is speed, otherwise I’d basically have perfect pitch 🥲

DNC voters are such good little pawns

I’ll never forget how Kamala was such a deeply unpopular candidate in 2020 that she got a total of 0 delegates in her home state. Everything about politics is completely manufactured by the bourgeois

73

And it’s hitting as hard as it probably could right now. Does anyone else wish they could just live life in a vacuum, their decisions completely unperceived

It really just seems like fearmongering about things most marginalized people go through everyday. Is it just the same” old things will continue to get worse as a result of everything infinitely growing” that’s been happening since the US was founded? I saw some goon from the heritage foundation go on tv and threaten leftists but idk if it has crazy uncle energy or whether that’s something someone with actual power is thinking

40

I’ve only dated two people (I think I’m about to fuck this current situation up) but it seems like I don’t know how to handle it when the novelty of a new relationship somewhat calms down on my end and I’m dealing with someone who is ostensibly over attached and saying all of these wild things and love bombing me.

Things seemed to be going so well for us, but they suddenly became super physical when their lack of physicality was the exact reason I chose to date them in the first place, and that sort of took me aback :/

I’m posting in the nd forum because I suspect this is an example of not being able to deal with change (we’re on the same wavelength for a bit then I return to reality while they stay up in the clouds). It also takes up a loooooooot of energy. Shit suuuuuuuuuuuucks because I truly thought I had found the one :/

Honest to god, it was ingrained into my head as a child that he wanted to kill anyone who used a computer. But seeing how ridiculous that sounds today and how it sounds eerily similar to any critique of capitalism, I’m thinking he has parts of a communist ideal.

It really looks just like someone who could be a radical leftist but decided to become a fascist at the last minute. And it’s also so fucking absurd it helps me understand why there’s a guy that thinks everything big is an op

I guess I’m basically asking how he is read by the hexbear powers that be

Yup things continue to get significantly worse, and I’m told one of the same two things

1.) “I’m sure children who died in factories during the Industrial Revolution would agree with you”

2.) “Unfortunately that’s just how the world is. I was like you once”

I really don’t know how else to say it. Like I can acknowledge the fact that I’m privileged and want to use my privilege to try and do something about the flagrant injustices around, but that comment is usually left with a snide response as well.

I keep shouting from the fucking mountain tops that the only way to make change is to build solidarity in your local communities, but fucking DNC plants are dropped from the sky it seems telling people to invest that energy into calling their representatives and VOTING. Which has yet to do jack shit materially

And surprise surprise. The same ghoulish developers and builders keep coming in to gentrify everything in fucking sight, corporations start outsourcing factory jobs leaving hundreds unemployed, rent increases astronomically all while millions of people are fixated on an election that is effectively kayfab

When you think of it like this, the DNC is so so fucking evil. They have a robust network of organizations that they could theoretically use to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. But of course they fucking don’t, too busy posting about how the latest ruling or whatever has made them sad.

They’re going to do such a shocked-pikachu when trump 2.0 is elected and opine about “the state of our country” or some shit while completely ignoring their role in all of this.

You know how some people say the internet is not real life? Definitely not always true, I know some people who fucking worship Taylor swift. Truly the weirdest shit

I can tell ya that my DSA chapter says voting for Biden is a vote for democracyagony-shivering

The word “terrorism” truly means fucking nothing

If no one in the west calls the most powerful nation on earth that is funding and fully-backing a country committing genocide “terrorists” then words truly have no meaning

Just surreal being alive right now. We’re all witnessing a modern day trail of tears in an age of ubiquitous information (folks alive in 1830s couldn’t say the same), and the prevailing narrative is that this is fine.

It really is the powerful vs the powerless and always has been marx-joker

Just gonna laugh in their fucking face next time a dnc parrot in my life asks me to vote for genocide Joe

100 billion to support a genocide? Eat shit

[-] stigsbandit34z@hexbear.net 81 points 1 year ago

The narrative is being manufactured in real time

Fucking genocidal US client state

Public programs are purposely underfunded to make it easy for people to point to why they don’t work (the average person doesn’t think about/care whether they get funding), making it easier to continue the process of privatizing everything.

Many conspiracy theories aren’t actually conspiracy theories but a consequence of profit-driven motives that give the illusion of a conspiracy theory.
