considering the dog's iq is about the same as the child, they are both pets

[-] jjlinux@lemmy.ml 119 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

I disagree. My dogs are smarter than my kids. ๐Ÿ˜

[-] lugal@lemmy.world 22 points 3 months ago

Hate to be the one who breaks it to you but have you ever considered that your kids might be stupid?

[-] jjlinux@lemmy.ml 49 points 3 months ago

Absolutely, doesn't change the fact though, does it?

[-] DreamlandLividity@lemmy.world 12 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Maybe the dog is smart? ๐Ÿ˜†

[-] jjlinux@lemmy.ml 12 points 3 months ago

Or all of the above ๐Ÿคฃ

[-] davidgro@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

In that case... Are you a spy and is your wife unusually strong?

If so, I wish your kid luck earning those Stella.

[-] jjlinux@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 months ago

I am not a spy. Or am I?

My wife is as strong as every wife out there and I'm still stupid enough to try to go against her will every now and then. That's why men die younger on average ๐Ÿคฃ

Among other things.

[-] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 23 points 3 months ago

Also kids are more like parasites than pets

[-] wizardbeard@lemmy.dbzer0.com 39 points 3 months ago

That's some strong talk from someone who had to learn object permanence.

[-] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago

You'd think that having a quicker than normal kid would be easier to raise, but no. I was walking and talking at 10 months, reading at 21 months, and in Montessori school by the age of 2. I was also probably the worst kid my parents raised.

[-] BigBananaDealer@lemm.ee 13 points 3 months ago

learning to say no at such an early age must have been actual torture for your parents

[-] Son_of_dad@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

Just cause your mum said that about you, doesn't mean it's true of all kids

[-] jjlinux@lemmy.ml 3 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

My mom never said that. I did find it written in some of her notes though.
