You think poor people are driving golf carts around?

[-] EatATaco@lemm.ee -2 points 7 months ago

On golf courses? No, but every time I've seen one driving around out in public it hasn't been some rich person, it has been some kind of working person. Usually like a security guard or someone doing some kind of service. Rich people drive their expensive cars.

Visit a richer neighborhood, then.

On my way to/from work I pass a place called Rancho Murietta, CA (Google it), a private fenced-in rich people living place.

Shit tons of golf carts being driven in and around the area to the nearby stores n shit because it's too gas-expsensive to load everyone up into the truck and blast down to the store 3 times a day.

I've almost never seen a working-class person drive a cart on the streets like a car for longer than a block or 2 near an event, which is special occasion. These people do it NORMALLY and often on HIGHWAYS.
