It's the dunk tank.
This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.
Rule 1: All posts must include links to the subject matter, and no identifying information should be redacted.
Rule 2: If your source is a reactionary website, please use archive.is instead of linking directly.
Rule 3: No sectarianism.
Rule 4: TERF/SWERFs Not Welcome
Rule 5: No ableism of any kind (that includes stuff like libt*rd)
Rule 6: Do not post fellow hexbears.
Rule 7: Do not individually target other instances' admins or moderators.
Rule 8: The subject of a post cannot be low hanging fruit, that is comments/posts made by a private person that have low amount of upvotes/likes/views. Comments/Posts made on other instances that are accessible from hexbear are an exception to this. Posts that do not meet this requirement can be posted to !shitreactionariessay@lemmygrad.ml
Rule 9: if you post ironic rage bait im going to make a personal visit to your house to make sure you never make this mistake again
I wonder if Lemmy.world's Red Scare will result in more leftists leaving .world, and more Liberals from Reddit replacing them, creating a schism between Lemmy.world and related instances, and Grad/Hexbear/.ml. a sort of Multipolar Lemmy.
I'm curious how long it will take until world just defeds from everyone for that reason
The admins know the userbase will eat itself without outside stimulus
Good point, .ml has been the new target since they can't see grad or hexbear. They need a boogeyman.
Wonder who they'll go after next
db0, probably, or lemm.ee. It will continue to be a moving target.
aka the "ol Beehaw"
It's a shifting target, anyone not in lock-step with Biden is challenged or eventually banned if it seems like people agree with them.
Yes. I was originally on world. I left because of exactly that.
Same, but .ee.
ngl i think its kind of unlikely, maybe a few people will but we wont see any real numbers leaving unless something big happens like .world defeds .ml or the instance just breaks and even then i doubt that many people will leave
Looking at it dialectically, I can't see this cold war lasting forever. Eventually the contradiction will be resolved, some inciting incident will cause it.
Might even be now, finally.
