2 days until I have my appointment to start HRT. Then another 12 days until I can actually start. Is it okay to count the days here? Is that weird? I’m counting them in my head and it’s driving me nuts.
I would absolutely be counting the days! Not weird at all!
It makes the wait hurt more tho.
Personally, it makes me more excited and hyped about it.
I dread living without what I’m waiting for and the possibility that I could be deceived about the arrival of that which I await because I don’t believe in the correlation of my expectations for the future and its reality. Time feels longer when I want it to pass.
Reminds me when I found out I would have to wait 2 years before being seen, then the wait to get put on HRT
That is actually horrible, wtf is wrong with society.
We haven't sunk terf island yet. Br*tish fuckers ruined the NHS.
it all makes sense now, terf island sounds like hell.
It is, the amount of shitty comments I got was crushing,
More angry venting sorry..

I got a laser appointment all set up and go to get it done and they'd have you on the table, then just say nah we aren't going to do it you haven't got the prescription yet.. I say well I don't because your systems slow and I've being doing diy for 2 fucking years already look at me.. (gave them the name of the meds and dosage) "oh those are just sugar pills you get online" was the response, I get escorted off the table and sent away.. a week later I get a letter to say I'm off getting any laser doneDon't be sorry, I like reading angry venting
spoiler
That is so sad I can't believe they would treat you that way. And you can totally get laser without hrt?? Right??I hope you're in a better situation, care wise, now though.
That's just a bit of what I put up with, then all the shit because I wanted bottom surgery..
spoiler
I don't even want to get into some of that.. that's after trying to get anything rearranged which they dragged their ass and it did nothing, but I had enough and dropped out.I can get laser, not that I absolutely need it (I can go 3 days before it's noticeable anyhow) but I got totally demoralised by the whole process
spoiler
That's very fair It is very frustrating to hear they would continue to drop the ball with bottom surgery. That just feels... so important.I know I would be.
I lost all faith in them and how I was handled, I can't recommend it.. I just got bad rng. Just spent the last few years wondering what to do next honestly..
I want to be there when we sink it!
Yeah.. angry vent..
spoiler
but I said fuck that and went DIY instead while I waited, then the amount of crap I went through their psych eval to just get it prescribed.. between transphobic questions/comments here or there and basically them allowing me to get kicked off/ denied most other treatments all while waiting on that initial prescription, I eventually dropped out because of how I got handled,
