Sometimes I kinda miss the hopefulness and excitement of being early on hrt.

"I wonder how big my boobs will get."

"My skin so soft now~~~"

"Fat redistribution!"

Now it's like, I did it. My body did the hormone things. It's actually very cool and I'm mostly happy with my body most of the time (when I'm not dealing with Fun House Mirror Brainworms Disease) but it was really exciting when it was still happening. I miss that.

Estrogen is fucking rad. So cool hearing about y'all getting started.

yeah i get that. though sometimes you get some fun surprises much later in transition, like i had a random boob growth spurt at 10 years hrt, went up by about a cup

Yeah I've had a few spurts like that. Always exciting when my boobs are sore and I don't remember bumping into anything recently.

That's me recently

I wonder how big my boobs will get.

This occupies too much of my brain now.

One of the great joys of being an oldhead (relatively speaking, in the grand scale I am still 12) is watching people be joyful and generally experience the early parts of transition. You get to just sit back and be like, Yeah it's fuckin' awesome isn't it, and it's only gonna get more awesome bridget-vibe

It's the familiarity, everything becomes second nature after a point. You know what to expect and how things are..

But you can still have fun and perspectives can change over time too, new ways you can dress and present etc if/when you stop caring so much how people perceive you, sexualities can change, a whole gamut of things

I didn't really get the excitement stuff and no gender euphoria but I've had that familiarity from I was a young teenager.. but it's nice to see people excited, I feel bad it's not easier for them too because of how society is.
