I'm pretty sure butter is an animal product and not an animal part, but I'm willing to be proven wrong if you can.
It's the same thing as chicken eggs. It's a product, but also has baby cows in it.
Dear me, I had no idea butter had microscopic baby cows in it! I'm an occasional baker, not a cowologist!
