Wasn't Ukraine the main hub for development and production of the more advanced weapons during Soviet times?
It would be kind of ironic if Ukraine surpasses Russia, and take over the Russian exports after the war.

Anyways Ukraine has for sure exceeded all expectations in this unjustifiable war against them.

If their military industrial complex survives in good condition by the end of the war, they will be in prime position for low to mid level military exports in all fields except naval and aircraft (im counting drones as their own field of expertise)

im counting drones as their own field of expertise

Anders Puk Nielsen recently stated that Ukraine is probably already among the world leaders in drones , and they are developing better ones at a crazy pace.

So yes, that sounds like it could become a market for them.

"Could"?!

Drones have completely flipped strategy and doctrine on its head in less than 5 years with no solid counter in sight.

Military drone sales are going to explode in the next decade, without a doubt

“Could”?!

They might keep them to themselves, and use them to take over the world. 😋
Nah it's just because the future isn't set, so I generally treat things in the future as hypotheticals.

The “naval” “drones” or mini kamikaze boats or whatever you wanna call them too.

Ukraine is an expert in RC.

Hence drones being a separate field of expertise

Does the naval things count as drones? I thought drones were only flying which is why I made this reply.

Anything unmanned also counts. UGVs, USVs, UUVs, UAVs, etc.

Yes tanks and ships too. The Moskva was constructed in Ukraine.

Antonov was made in Ukraine too. The biggest cargo airplane ever built was the Antonov 225. That plane was absolutely insane, and could carry diesel locomotives and whatnot.

Antonov is still an operational Ukrainian company and they operate a number of 124s. It’s a real shame about the 225 though. Maybe it can come back with the spare airframe but seems like a slim chance.
