Every time I question if Hexbear is too quick to attack over ideological purity testing, I get on my Lemmy.ml account and look at their feed. Not having standards or a street trial culture is so much worse. Why would anyone want to spend time on a website where their feed is a bunch of demons calling for a holocaust? The person offering houseplant advice in one thread wants to mass murder children in another thread. You're expected to seriously engage with someone saying something so antisocial that they would be beaten to death if they said it in a bar, and if you dare offend them then you're a dirty rulebreaker.
