The original, by Tim Whyatt (https://www.nobleworkscards.com/c6392bdg-man-aprons-funny-birthday-paper-card-whyatt-tim.html), definitely doesn't intend this message. Dude's a greeting card cartoonist who makes naughty Far Side tribute comics. In true Far Side manner, the original was just a, "here's an unexpected and funny situation", and it has been coopted to spread transphobia. Like minus the dumb added text, the original strikes me as having sexy-lady-apron guy be the butt of the joke?

Yeah I was gonna say I suspected the original wasn't intended to be transphobic, just kind of a dumb boomer comic.

It's not necessarily dumb either, it's just bringing something that at the time was very normalized into the forefront. Forcing people to conceptualize things that are outside the social norms is actually good.
