She probably thought he was older than 19, I'm assuming that's the "accident" here, that he was a teenager and not much older than her children.
no shade but did she not talk to him for like more than 5 minutes? thats usually the dead giveaway. not hating on the younger crew around here but as someone who is ancient its obvious to us
