/r/WhitePeopleTwitter is an example of whites wanting special treatment even when they're already given special treatment. Twitter itself is a white platform, along with r*ddit. It makes sense to have /r/BlackPeopleTwitter to create a space for black users (tho we all know that sub is full of whites doing blackface).

Real "Why is there a Black History Month, but no White History Month?" energy.

I thought it was a joke to begin with. Like "look at how white this person is". It took me a long time to realise that they weren't in on the joke
