You can easily get killed trying to "unarm someone with a knife". There's not really something to train for unless you see a "suicide mission" as an acceptable outcome.
By the time we are at a point where a knife-wielder is face to face with cop-with-a-gun, we are too late to avoid a lose-lose situation. The United States has such a violent culture that cultivates these sorts of situations. I think it's important to focus on the big picture of what a socialist future would lol like.
No, stop buying into the US Policing narrative. It is not particularly dangerous or difficult for a trained and equipped person (i.e a cop) to disarm some random person with a knife, that's why our (UK) cops do it all the time instead of shooting people. Americans are just complete milksops.

So weirdly I tried to find some actual stats on police disarming knife weilding suspects in the UK but it's just bringing up articles comparing incidents of UK police disarming knife weilders to incidents of US police shooting them.

Generally, if someone's getting killed by cops here it's a racism thing, it's not their default response to stimuli.
