Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

The only war the US has won in the 20th and 21st century is the one in Iraq, and only if you make an arbitrary cutoff point. They like to brag about WWII as if that wasn't the Soviets doing all the work. WWI? Literally same deal lol.
The US isn't competent, it never was, it's just got enough money it can afford to pay its way out. Like a modern day Roman empire, paying it's way to avoid crisis after crisis while allowing it's internal infrastructure to fall apart.

The US won Panama in the 90s by all means. That's just hard to paint as morally correct or as competent because USA vs. Panama boils down to like coughing baby vs. hydrogen bomb on population sizes alone.

Yeah I wanted to add something about "near peer war" but couldn't figure it out.

In Europe, you can say it was all the Soviets, but against Japan?

Yes, not to the same extent as in Europe, but the USSR were making big headway into Japan after liberating Berlin. Avoiding a situation where Japan surrendered to the Soviets was one motivating factor for the use of nukes.
