I think the funnier option would be there's fair & square elections and trump still wins. OECD watched and all. How you gonna say no?
It’s the more likely one. I really don’t buy the idea of him shutting down elections and I’m not even entirely convinced he’ll actually go for a third term.
I can see a future where Trump continues 'joking' about this idea and then his base starts threatening the RNC for saying they aren't letting him run in the primary
There are so many people who would need to go along with this that I have a really hard time imagining it happening. I still think half the reason republicans are so unified behind him is because they think they just have to put up with him for just another 4 years, similar to democrats thinking they 'just' had to beat Trump one more time and problem solved.
