My non-vote literally had no impact, clearly. If Trump won the presidency by one vote I guess I’d feel bad. But I live in a deep blue state, so it didn’t matter even more.
For me I felt more compelled to send a clear message that the Dems need to do better, and I wasn’t compelled that Kamala was better. It’s not my responsibility to blindly vote for the party and, as a result, be complicit with things I don’t support. I knew if Trump won (I figured he would), it would be the Dem party who was to blame.
And it seems I wasn’t alone, and those of us who sat out the vote were seen. My hope has always been it will be reflected upon and change will come as a result.
So no, I feel literally no responsibility for Trump winning.
I called my Catholic priest and he tells me all these liberals will not need to go through purgatory, their endless self flagellation has already absolved them of sin.
is it really self flagellation when it’s a bunch of people personally convinced that they’re the only individual smart enough, wise enough, and morally righteous enough to understand that bad things only happen because everyone else failed mother?
