Asked someone who practices 2 rooms down from my band about a venue two states away that they booked.

"Hey what's the email for this place you're playing? We're trying to shore up some tour dates "

"Oh that place is a 300 person cap venue, sorry, I don't know what your draw is like. Have you tried [other place were waiting to hear from]?"

Please dont burn yourself out and get jaded like i have, there's lots of joy to be found but once you do it long enough and get old enough it just fucking sucks and is a pain in the ass
