Fuck, that cuts to the core of it. Like how the writings of Stalin and Hitler are "equally" (not equally) considered to be some kind of cursed tome that will posess you if you even try to understand it instead of just...some writing. They really do think that communist literature is some kind of chaos artifact with the power to bend minds and reality, because the alternative would be realizing that they live in a constructed reality that is easily refuted, and they're far too smug for that. They have to pretend that the only way anyone could disagree with them is through the provenance of dark magic.
