Anti aliasing makes games look so much better, emulating DK country returns right now and played through a few worlds without AA and now turning it on, it looks sooo much better. Better then a resolution bump.
Game holds up really well imo
A lot of games were designed for CRT monitors which naturally caused anti-aliasing effects due to physics.
It's kinda a pain when deciding how to emulate some older systems lol, usually play without shaders tbh. But this is a wii game and I think lcd/plasma had mostly taken over?
Hmmm
I don't know
I did a replay of Morrowind a couple of years back, no new textures just stuff that let you use more anti-aliasing and other graphical features.
I was so surprise how good it looked, like a Nintendo switch game or an indie Steam game.
I actually dig no anti aliasing, but its an aesthetic thing now. I like the stepped jaggy ripped edges. I like the low poly look, but I dont know if it has a name like xbox/xbox 360 era? Theres pixel art, theres low poly, but no 360 era aesthetic yet.
I think some games it makes more sense, with those like ps2 era graphics. I haven't played too much of those to decide what I like. But DK returns is a 2d HD type of game, not the low poly 3d
Sunday is Trans Gaming Day! Thank you for getting me to learn what AA is after years of just
every time I saw it in an options menu
