Y'all think it's funny that dude had a Nazi tattoo? Like that's not relevant? Am I stupid for considering that a giant red flag? Do you think his excuse about not knowing his nazi tattoo was a nazi tattoo is credible? Would you accept that from Pete Hegseth?

People who call themselves anti-fascist should have higher standards. We should recognize that people subjected to fascist violence might view white dudes with Nazi tattoos a little differently. And those people might view white leftests differently knowing that anti-fascism and anti-racism is fungible.

So go ahead and down-vote me, but remember this the next time you're vexed about why Bernie Sanders struggled with black voters. Leftests have a credibility problem in some communities and shit like this is why.

In all sincerity, I would've never guessed it was a nazi tattoo. I didn't even know about the totenkopf until the Platner headlines started. It really did look like a generic skull tattoo to me . Maybe that speaks to history illiteracy in the US, but it's pretty damn plausible he had no clue imo. The fact that he immediately got it covered is also strong argument for it.

At this point we gotta take what we can get. I believe in redemption, I hope the guy is for real.
