i feel like they could've used a construction lift to reach the letters but the scaffolding is higher drama which i respect from a performing arts center.

I doubt that the floor there is rated for a construction lift, and they likely don't want to tear up the grass to have a boom come in and reach through. Tough around there, D.C. is literally mostly built on swamp land.

That said, typical shit, not investigating actual material engineering reasoning and just assuming it is just spectacle.

Edit Apparently they rolled lifts in to put it up, so idk what is going on.
