Even at the peak of leftism in Hollywood, vast majority were liberal at best. It’s actually interesting to read about Hollywood at the time and how many of them dabbled in leftist politics. FDR ended up being like Obama as a liberal sheepdog that moved them away from leftism into supporting Dems.
It's hard to stay leftist when the government literally props up the relevancy of your entire industry at the expense of every other film-making center.
