Strong worded letter inbound.

After the Midterms, those strongly worded letters are going to be subpoenas.

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Sure, just like last time right?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 0 points 5 days ago (1 children)

No, like next time, when they all go to prison.

Why does everybody assume that the Dems are going to do the same things that fucked them up the last time?

The voters want MAGA to be punished for their crimes, and they are electing people who intend to do that. It's a new world in the Democratic Party. MAGA DINOS are glowing brightly, and we all see who they are. They are as responsible for the rise and resurrection of MAGA as MAGA themselves, and if they don't actively take a redemption path, they are going to be primaried out in humiliating fashion.

They better get on board, or start punching up their resumes for their next job.

Because they've lived in this country for more than 10 minutes

If that's the case, then it's YOUR fault. If you've been paying attention, like you imply, you should recognize that there is a powerful new movement in the Democratic Party, and instead of trying to get everybody to surrender in advance, like always, you could support them.

Instead, you'd rather give them permission to fail again, and let them know that you'll accept it, and guess what? They will. They'd rather go back to their Insider Trading hobby than do their jobs, so if you give them permission to ignore us, they happily will.

Instead of accepting their cowardice, you could scare them into doing their jobs, by threatening to primary them, threatening to vote against them, screaming at their phone call people, demanding they do their jobs, OR ELSE!

Or you can be a weak little pissant who tries to tell those who are fighting for YOU, that they are wasting their time.

Ew, gross, grow a spine.

Oh it's my fault the entire government is collaborating against us and has been for decades. Ok champ.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

No, it's your fault for accepting it, and assuming they will do nothing the next time, and allowing them to do nothing with no consequences.

Now they are seeing consequences. A 15 term do-nothing Rep was just beaten in the primaries by a KID! And there is a lot more of that going on, and it has become apparent to EVERYONE that we are on a new path.

You can be part of the old, weak, cowardly Democratic establishment, and help them crush this new trend, or you can get on board and give it more fuel.

If you don't, then yeah, whatever bad happens is your fault.

I appreciate your optimism. I've been around long enough to have seen "big changes" before, and they led to this. Expressing that on lemmy isn't going to move the needle at all and it's still super weird that you're blaming me personally for something that started before I was born.

Hey hey hey, let's not shove the pedal to the floor !. There are many less aggressive options to consider before penning a strongly worded letter !
