These guys are dime a dozen unfortunately. This is one of the two fascist responses to them losing a war. It can't be because they refuse to examine material conditions, it's always because they were either "Holding back too much" or sometimes claiming vague things about the enemy "Cheating" (like the Vietnamese building spike pits being a war crime, but agent orange on entire villages isn't)
Its funny if you think about it. America propaganda is how we were plucky little underdogs and now British lost the revolution because they didn't conform to new age of fighting and their arrogance was their undoing.
Meanwhile : "how could us, America, loose a war. We are so amazing great and powerful. Those other people are ignorant primitive slurs"
Actually that is just where the Vietnamese liked to store their spikes. It’s really easy to avoid them if you are a local, but unfortunately the GIs did not visit the welcome center when they arrived.
