If there was a chemical that could universally make people leftists, the USSR would have discovered it and put it in the public water supply. (And if it exists, I want some. I don't need it for myself, but it'd be neat to see what it does to me, and slipping some to my dad would fix a lot of my family problems.)

Well, I think I'm pretty far left. So that'd be neat, to see how much further left a person could be, and something about experimenting on myself makes it so much better than a willing test subject or unwitting victim.
