Ukraine is pretty much the only 'western' country with a legitimate grievance against Iran, Iran has for years supplied Russia with munitions that they fire at Ukraine, and that is one accusation that Trump and his admin never make against Iran to justify their warmongering.

Hasan used to be more vocal about his opinion that NATO expansion made Russia's invasion of Ukraine inevitable. Earlier into the war, he also used to critical of Ukraine's association with Nazis, watch videos on the Azov Battalion and the Right Sector, for example. When he fundraised for Ukraine, at a time when libs were hungry for a fight to the last Ukrainian, Hasan instead fundraised for Ukrainian evacuation, an angle that Hexbear did not oppose at the time. After the war had gone on for a bit, though, especially after October 7, his coverage of which lost him 1/3 of his viewers for over a year, his public stance on Ukraine was much more libbed up. I remember getting the idea that, between Russia/Ukraine and Palestine/Israel, he was seeming to "pick a struggle", maybe to get as much support for Palestine from his community as possible.
