Yea I'm definitely copying what my parents did and severely limiting screen time of all kinds. I was annoyed as a kid that I didn't get to watch tv regularly (except for the news lol) but that was 100% the correct move, and they didn't even have to worry about an "AI" chatbot destroying my mind with hallucinations
I had to ask for permission to turn the TV on until I was 13. At that age I had already learned some self control and the notion that most content was crap.
My parents pushed reading on me and even though I don't read anymore, I still feel it benefited me more than watching TV; storytelling was far better
I'm getting an OG GameCube with a library of games.
