Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

If anyone else was linked or even hinted at being linked to something like this, they'd be in prison before you could say howdy there.

And if it was a dem, republicans wouldn't stop crying about that for years.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 84 points 1 day ago (2 children)

We're still hearing about hunter bidens laptop. I'm surprised they finally shut up about Obamas tan suit.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 33 points 1 day ago (1 children)

STARBUCKS WHILE SALUTING AND MARINE HOLDING THE UMBRELLA!

But baby murder and raping 13-yo is fine if it's Trump. Ffs

Tan suit.

He put his feet on the desk.

He likes Dijon mustard.

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

And now I’m making a sandwich JUST for the Dijon mustard.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

There's (grey) POUPON everything!

[–] GreyEyedGhost@piefed.ca 3 points 1 day ago

[–] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Buttery males too.

[–] Draegur@lemmy.zip 11 points 1 day ago

Well yeah obviously; don't you know that as long as it's a REPUBLICAN who is raping pregnant children and murdering newborn infants, that's what makes it okay?

APPARENTLY??? SOMEHOW?????

They'd break their fingers clutching their pearls.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 day ago

I mean, neither would I. They’d be pretty justified in that scenario.

[–] WoodScientist@lemmy.world 28 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The man who demonizes innocent trans peoples as a threat to society is literally a child murderer.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 19 points 1 day ago

And pedophile sex trafficker and serial rapist.

[–] Cruel@programming.dev 3 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

That's not true. You need credible evidence that something illegal happened. An uncorroborated report almost 40 years after the incident, made just weeks before the 2020 election is not credible or useful for prosecution.

[–] FarceOfWill@infosec.pub 15 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

I try to live my life so if anyone claimed i murdered babies people would react with incredulity, not guillotine images.

[–] Cruel@programming.dev 3 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Nobody wants him locked up now who didn't want him locked up before this report was released.

[–] zbyte64@awful.systems 3 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Not true, there are dozens of people who changed their mind, dozens!

[–] Zink@programming.dev 2 points 16 hours ago

It's like each newly revealed crime against humanity can only permanently lose him a single maga influencer or high profile republican.

And I wish it weren't so, but I bet he has enough in his history to lose them all.

Unfortunately the lesson that needs to be learned, that trumpers shouldn't just move on to supporting Vance doing the same evil shit but without the rap sheet and the dementia, probably isn't going to happen.
