heck you don't even need epstein for the 9-5 thing. Its just pointless now. Work is selling you don't get paid well but with the experience you will be able to increase your wage. if you do manage to save and make enough to get a mortgage you won't keep it up long enough to pay it off and retire as you will be working at walmart in your 50's. Timothy Learys advice has never made more sense.
It doesn't work anymore. The owners have gotten too greedy, and taken so much from working people, that we can't even make the bills with one of their jobs. The only thing to do is all decide not to work until we collectively bargain for better conditions, better pay.
And get an honest CPI, as it's understated for 50 years and we take a pay cut every year the difference between the 2-3 percent average cpi inflation under the changed metrics, and 5-8 percent that it was under the old unchanged standard, and that was just by 2008, before all of our inflation here.
I mean I always took his drop out was talking about the machine whether it be work or school or whatnot. What is you say is exactly why. If your working to be homeless you might as well just do whatever. maybe pick up work if its not corpo controlled here and there. cash under the table things for neighbors or such and growing things if you can. guerrilla planting and and harvesting. if your ok with it steal but only from the corps or the ultra wealthy or police or such.
This is what I've done and there's plenty of room. Literally, the situation I've figured out could support a dozen people. The tricky part is convincing them to come out and play. Netflix and DoorDash are absolutely crippling bait. "turn on, tune in, drop out" is the whole quote. Think step 1 has been forced on most of us at this point and the waves of "content" we're inundated with exist largely to prevent step 2 from bringing you anywhere meaningful
On a more positive note, if anyone wants to disappear into the woods dm me for exfil ;)
If we organized together we could make our own communities that at a minimum could require a lot less money to get by without having a lower standard of living. We could help each other make a living in our small businesses, and we could start our own larger businesses.
Why are we working for publicly traded soul less corporations? If they don't pay enough to get by, we can just make our own companies to fill some of these needs that the profit motive is failing to provide. All of that as a sideshow too, the organization would first and foremost be marshalling our discontent, and actions, to act in concert to have impact. A general strike is on the horizon, it's the only answer to the militarized government responses we will be looking at soon.
Strikers don't even have to march on buildings. They just don't work. They can't force everyone back to work, or hunt them all down and arrest them for not working.
