Congrats Norway. A country of only 5-6 million and just dominates.
When I was in late primary/early high school, I happened to be at a school with a lot of Norwegian expats. It was a very common joke among them that Norwegians are born with skis on their feet.
Norway did exceptionally well this year even by those standards, but yeah, it's hardly surprising that they do unexpectedly well at the Winter Games.
That said, this video is really interesting discussion on the topic. It's mainly talking about problems with American society, but Norway is particularly used as a comparison for just how to do it right in a number of ways.
Years ago I got into an argument with my son, who's an anarcho-capitalist, about Norway's education system. He gives the disingenuous Ben Shapiro-like argument that nOrWaY iS a SmAlLeR cOuNtRy So ThEiR sOlUtIoNs WoN't ScAlE.
I haven't had one of those conversations in several years. I stopped after getting the "yeah, they're all white" ignorant/racist crap just about every time.
Oof. I didn't realise ancaps were a real thing and not just online trolls roleplaying. Libertarians are bad enough. My condolences.
